Reducing Employee Turnover & Absenteeism

Turnover and absenteeism cost U.S. companies billions of dollars each year in lost productivity, recruitment cost, training cost and lost opportunities

Although closely related, many companies don’t realize that turnover and absenteeism are separate problems caused by different things. It can also be very difficult to accurately gauge the true cost of these issues and realistically measure the impact on your organization. The biggest challenge however, may be the steps you can take to ensure the people you hire have the best chance to stay and be productive.

This conference will teach you that there are short and long-term solutions to these two major challenges. You will learn how a comprehensive selection process can help to reduce risks associated with both turnover and absenteeism. You will also learn some of the best practices used by employers of choice to foster a culture that will ensure employees stay motivated and productive on the job.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the true cost of turnover and absenteeism
  • Recognize the reasons why people leave organizations
  • List the real causes of absenteeism
  • Identify how to determine realistic expectations
  • Compare the difference between functional and dysfunctional turnover
  • Recognize how to predict early tenure turnover and absenteeism
