Jerry Scannell is senior editor of Compliance Magazine. Scannell was nominated by President George H. Bush in 1989 to serve as Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA. During his leadership of OSHA from 1989 to 1992, Scannell lead the adoption of a new Standard for Process Safety for Highly Hazardous Chemicals and a Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. From 1992 to 1994, he served as VP of Worldwide Safety affairs for Johnson & Johnson, and in 1995, Scannell was named President and CEO of the National Safety Council. He was inducted into the Safety & Health Hall of Fame International in 1994.

Kevin S. Berg is principal vice president and global corporate manager, environmental, safety and health services for Bechtel Corp., San Francisco. Berg has 25 years of experience in the engineering, procurement and construction industry. He is responsible for the strategic direction and function oversight of all environmental, safety and health processes and activities for Bechtel's global operations. Berg served as an oversight team member on the first Voluntary Protection Program endorsed by OSHA and the AFL-CIO, and he is an active member of the Compliance Magazine Editorial Advisory Board.
Kenneth N. Flechler, III

Kenneth N. Flechler, III, is vice president - safety and compliance for Comcast Corp., Washington D.C. His current responsibilities include overseeing all safety programs; facilities management; OSHA, transportation, environmental, and FCC operations, and human resource compliance.
Flechler is currently on the board of directors for the National Safety Council and serves as the chairman of the Safety and Compliance Work Group for the National Cable Telecommunications Association. He is also an active member of Compliance Magazine and Incident Prevention Magazine's Editorial Advisory Boards as well as a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Labor Committee. Most recently, he served as a U.S. Industry Delegate to the US/EU Conference on Health and Safety at Work and is a frequent speaker and lecturer at safety, compliance, and quality associations, conventions and seminars.
Flechler received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Bellarmine College in Louisville , Ky. He is a Certified Utility Safety Administrator.
