Layoffs and Reductions In Force: Surviving the Legal Minefield

|
With a potential recession looming, today’s economic climate forces employers to confront an unfortunate reality: reductions in force (RIFs) may be a necessary adjunct to common business practices. Once the decision has been made to reduce the size of the workforce, actual implementation of this reduction requires adherence to legal requirements, acute focus on selection criteria, and a comprehensive plan for putting the reduction into action.
This teleconference will teach you what laws impact your RIF and how to comply with them, how to put together a successful RIF procedure, how to design a severance or exit incentive package, and how to limit potential liability related to the layoff.
