Selling HR to CEOs and CFOs

May 15, 2008

Why is it that HR professionals are almost always complaining that they don’t have a seat at the corporate table? We have heard this lament for years. HR departments and people are doing everything they can to become a strategic partner and get included in the inner circle. But why is it so hard for HR? Other departments, like marketing, sales, strategic planning, negotiating, business development and business planning, and IT never seem to have this problem. They are always at the table.
The problem seems to be that HR doesn’t get it. They know how to do it, they know how to get it, but they just don’t get it. IT is what C-suite executives are looking for. It involves communication, reporting, data collection and analysis, obtaining strategic objectives, and improving overall business performance.
It’s not that HR can’t do these things also. It’s that HR, for some reason, doesn’t do these things on a consistent basis. This webinar will teach attendees what to look for in their HR departments in order to “sell their services” to the C-suite. HR professionals will learn how and why the CEO looks for different things than the CFO looks for, and how the Chairman of the board may be looking for something else entirely. Make no mistake about it- HR is a strategic function. This webinar will show all HR professionals how to let everyone else know of the strategic value of HR.
