Safety Leadership: What it Takes to Motivate, Inspire, and Win Support

|
Why are some safety professionals able to engage, inspire and motivate workers while others fail miserably? What’s their secret?
They know that a key to becoming a better safety leader is an understanding of human motivation. They figure out what drives people to do the things they do. They get to the bottom of why some workers embrace safety while others refuse to act in their own best interest. They’ve cracked the code on how to get people to change their attitudes and behaviors when necessary.
But developing these critical skills is no simple matter. Each worker has different motivators and each organization has a unique culture that influences what works and what doesn’t.
The question is, with all of those complicated factors in the mix, what must you KNOW and DO to become a more effective safety leader and motivator?
In this program Safety behavior expert Ted Boyce, Ph.D. will provide insights on customizing leadership to fit specific individual and organizational needs. Participants will learn a process for pinpointing and measuring the leadership behaviors that produce safety improvements in their facilities.
