Construction activities can create a myriad of safety issues. This presentation will cover basic safety issues during construction and renovation work in new and occupied facilities. Topics include general construction safety; most commonly cited OSHA violations, OSHA's multi-employer citation policy, and environmental issues such as asbestos and lead-based paint, green construction principles, and indoor air quality.
The attendees will learn important construction safety topics which may impact their organization, employees, customers, and the general public. This presentation will provide insight and clarification into construction safety practices that may contribute to the building’s occupant concerns during and after construction is complete. Both experienced and not so experienced safety professionals will gain important knowledge from this event.
