How Employee/Manager Relationships Affect Safety Performance

Good management is key to running a successful company, but it is also critical to maintaining a safety function that is respected and keeps employees going home safely each night. This audio conference will feature recent research on how managers and employees across a wide range of organizations view safety. When managers and employee attitudes and perceptions are incongruent, policy communication and compliance fall apart. When attitudes and perceptions are in sync, an organization can begin to develop a world-class safety function.

By understanding current data on employee/employer relationships related to safety, you can benchmark your company's current situation and make plans for improvement.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand current statistics on employer/employee perceptions about safety.
  • Examine how managers can influence safety compliance and commitment to safety.
  • Gain knowledge to benchmark your company against other similar organizations.
  • Discuss new communication tools that make safety work.
