How to Develop a Crisis Program for Your Most Important Asset: Your Employees

Co-Sponsored By: Thompson Interactive
Many organizations profess that their most important assets are their people. But while most companies have some level of crisis planning in place, this “most important asset” is often overlooked. In fact, a major lesson learned from both the September 11th attacks and Hurricane Katrina was that more attention needs to be given to dealing with the people issues surrounding a crisis. Having a well-designed “human impact” plan will enable your employees to get back to work in a more efficient manner, increase their loyalty and mitigate your costs.
Learn what the essential components of a successful program are and what strategies will help you develop a system that works for your organization when you attend this 90-minute, interactive audio conference. Your speaker is Jason Kane, Director of Client Services with Crisis Management International (CMI), who works directly with clients in strengthening their crisis management programs. Mr. Kane specializes in focusing on the human side of crisis and has assisted organizations such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in developing, implementing and evaluating their programs.
Mr. Kane's last presentation on this topic was on January 30, 2007. This presentation will include any updates that have occurred in this subject area since then.
Learning Objectives:
- How to account for and communicate with your staff immediately following a disaster -- what should you do first, second, third, etc.
